Job Overview
Senior Growth Marketing Manager, Brooklyn or Remote (U.S.)
Propel is actively seeking a Senior Growth Marketing Manager to lead and scale our user acquisition efforts. In this pivotal role, you will drive significant growth and help millions of low-income Americans thrive.
About Propel: Building a Stronger Social Safety Net
Propel is a technology company on a mission to strengthen the social safety net. Furthermore, we are proud to be supported by a blend of nonprofits, impact investors, and world-class investors.
The Role: Senior Growth Marketing Manager
Growth marketing here is at a crucial point; indeed, we have had early successes in paid acquisition, but there’s significant opportunity to build a scaled, multi-channel growth program. Therefore, this high-impact, high-autonomy role provides a unique opportunity to drive significant growth while helping millions of low-income Americans.
The ideal candidate will own the direction and performance of Propel’s acquisition program. To do this, you will work alongside a constellation of vendors and partners to bring strategy to life. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will also work closely with brand, lifecycle, product, and data teams to turn growth into a durable, compounding engine for the business.

What You’ll Do as a Senior Growth Marketing Manager
As a Senior Growth Marketing Manager, you will:
- Strategize and Execute: Own the direction and performance of Propel’s acquisition program. In addition, you will translate strategy into executional excellence by partnering with agencies and testing new platforms to broaden reach and diversify the paid mix.
- Manage Budgets and Creative: Manage and optimize the paid media budget end-to-end. This involves forecasting, pacing, and reporting performance to leadership and cross-functional partners. Moreover, you will build a high-performing creative engine, developing testing frameworks and workflows that consistently deliver new creative winners.
- Drive Data-Informed Growth: Lead rigorous A/B and incrementality testing, using structured analytics to unearth learnings and drive improvements in performance. Furthermore, you will advance our attribution and modeling capabilities, refining measurement approaches in partnership with the data team. This is a core part of being a successful growth marketing manager.
- Collaborate and Lead: Collaborate with brand, lifecycle, and product teams to drive system-level growth. You will also manage agencies and vendors with structure and accountability, and concurrently help shape the future of the growth function, which includes hiring, mentoring, and developing junior marketers down the line.
